9th anniversary of Columbine shootings

(Bay News 9) -- Sunday is the ninth anniversary of the the Columbine High School massacre.
Students Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris rampaged their Littleton, Colo., high school.
They shot and killed 12 classmates and one teacher before turning their guns on themselves.

It really scares me every time this anniversary comes around because I'm always worried someone might try to carry on the legacy and recreate it somewhere else. Look at NIU, it's not like it was the next town over but it's still close. And it happened not on the anniversary but on Valentines Day. I think we have to work on gun control and it's a really controversial issue when it comes to politics but I don't think we need any more evidence than what we have: Calumbine, Virginia Tech, and NIU. I feel like we always have to wait until it's too late to actually start making a change.

I feel the same way. It's frightening that all of these innocent young people are having their safety compromised because their classmates have easy access to guns and other weapons. Parents should have better security within their own homes to make sure that their children cannot get access to their guns.
